The new iPhone 3Gs will be available this June 19 which is two days after iPhone Software update 3.0. It comes with several new features but it looks exactly the same as the previous iPhone 3G.

Apple unveils its latest iPhone 3GS

Everything is pretty much the same, it will be available in both black & white colors. As I said, no new look / new design for the iPhone this year. Perhaps one of the best news of the iPhone 3Gs is the new 3.0 MegaPixels camera. The new camera comes with auto-focus lens, light sensitivity and supports video recording. However as dissapointing as it seems, still there is no front camera built in the new iPhone or in another words “NO SUPPORT FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE / 3G VIDEO CALLS“

The other new feature is Voice Commands which is probably adopted from the latest iPod Shuffle Technology. Personally, I think this is lame.

Well that’s about it, Apple claims there are many more features being added to the iPhone 3GS like Digital Compass, the improved performance or whatever. I don’t believe “speed and improved battery life” would satisfy Apple fans or be counted as ‘new features’. Overall, this is just an improved version of the previous iPhone 3G. Not really a new iPhone that will kill the previous iPhone. Definitely not worth all the hype.
