Nobody thought it was possible; but all it took was an Apple to make a change. This year 2010, Apple has finally over taken Microsoft.

With Windows software franchises, Microsoft has dominated the relationship with most people over two decades; but it turns out Microsoft’s customers are switching to Apple and it seems the multi touch experience on the iPad has won over the keyboard on a desktop computer.

Apple still sells computers but most of the revenue is coming from handheld gadgets (iPhones and iPods)

As of May 26^th 2010 on Wednesday; Wall Street valued Apple at $222.12 billion and Microsoft at $219.18 billion. The revenue of both companies is comparable, Microsoft ($58.4 billion) and Apple ($42.9 billion)
