Anyways, there is a way to update your Xbox without the need of connecting your Xbox to the internet. There are four ways to update your Xbox 360 consoles:

1. Connect your console, and get the update from the Xbox Live
2. Install the update from a game disc (new original game; obviously)
3. Download the firmware and store in inside a thumb drive
4. or Burn the File to CD/DVD

If you’re looking for a way to do this without the need of home internet connection, the best way is to download the firmware from a friend’s internet connection, store the file in a pendrive and plug in to the console to run the Update.

You obviously need an internet connection anyhow to download the firmware. You can download the firmware right here.

If you just can’t access the internet at anywhere, or if your country does not have internet connection; the solution is to run the update from a new original Xbox 360 game. Usually you’ll be prompted to update your Xbox before being able to play these games and luckily Xbox console update is stored inside the original game discs as well.

note: for the clever-pants gamers (modders) out there; do not do anything silly like updating your Xbox while the Hard Drive or DVD rom is not connected to the motherboard.

Be warned that you will need some technical skills to disassemble your Xbox, the tools and manual are being provided but opening it up could be a little tricky to some people.

There is no changes to the name. it is still called Xbox 360.

The new design looks amazing in glossy black and it is “whisper quiet” according to Microsoft. You will not hear the fans or any annoying sounds while the console is operating. The new buttons on the console (power and drive) are now touch sensitive. Turn on the Xbox by just touching the power button and it works really awesome.

It has built in WiFi (yay!), five USB ports, and the all upgraded 250GB of hard drive storage. Sadly that is the new Hard Drive, you can’t use the previous Hard Drive model on this new Xbox.

According to the reviewers, there is a new “Kinect” (used to be called Project Natal) port on the back that looks a lot like HTC extension port. However, the Kinect device is likely expected to be compatible with the older Xbox 360 models.

The all new slimmed down Xbox 360 units are shipping to retailers right now at $299.

It is time to sell your old Xbox model and save some money on the new one!

Upgrading to the new Xbox?:

If you have an existing console, you could do the same data transfer process available today, either through Hard Drive data transfer cable, plug-in your thumb drive, or you could download the whole user content directly from Xbox Live.

The best thing about Google is that they celebrate everything, including Pacman 30^th anniversary. Just go to Google.com right now and play with their logo. It is so interactive that you can play it like you did with your old classic game console except that there is only one level (I believe) and it has Google logo on it.

I have tested it, but did not beat the game (I officially suck at Pacman). When you lose or win (I think) you will then be redirected to a Google search ‘PAC-MAN 30th Anniversary’.

It is a brilliant idea, turning a logo into an interactive game like Pacman. Kids will surely spend an hour at least playing Pacman on Google’s homepage.

This concept works like a jailbroken iPhone, all you have to do is download a pirated game from an irresponsible website, install it on your PS3 hard disk and load it up!

Now, here’s some good news and bad news. There will be some rapid increase in PS3 sales once the retailers begin selling hacked consoles, but that would also mean declining sales of PS3 original games. Personally, I have not tested the ‘Playstation Move’ yet, but by the way it looks we can agree that it is pretty much similar to what Nintendo Wii had for years except you can play Playstation Move in High Definition experience. We’re also being told that it has better accuracy compared to Nintendo Wii. Anyhow, I don’t really care since I’m waiting for Microsoft’s Project Natal coming at the end of the year.

Game publishers are on board with Playstation Move, you will see some of the renowned titles coming to PS3 platform and should support this new controller. If you own a Playstation 3 and thinking about buying a Wii, you should hold that thought and get this controller from Sony instead.
