Go UMDless With PSPgo
Portable gaming is getting even better with the new PSPgo. Ideally made for travellers or on-the move consumers who prefer not to carry handful of UMDs but instead a slim, shiny, pocket-sized portable gaming device called PSPgo all by itself. With 16GB of flash memory to store, PSPgo is an ultimate gaming device that can store music, videos and games which can be downloaded directly from PlayStation Network (PSN).
If you’ve just owned previous PSP models, does this mean that you’re screwed? Not Really. As it turns out, PSPgo is not the next generation of PSP nor it should be called PSPII. It really designed for those who always wanted UMDless PSP and the design explains it all.
Sure the PSP itself is slimmer without UMD support and the screen could slide into an alternate dimension, but is it really that great?
At 3.8 inches screen, it couldn’t beat the previous 4.2 inches screen that current PSP owners enjoy.
I love the idea of how gaming devices allow gamers to virtually download games on demand without the need of going to the store and getting in line to physically buy the disc or umd of a long awaited game.
PSPgo is set to be released this October with the price tag of +/- $250.
