Sony’s PlayStation Vue to Offer Unique and Powerful TV Experience

When the arch-rival Microsoft has released an update for Xbox which enabled extraordinary features like in the device, like social media integration, live TV on demand and many more, surely an update from Sony for its PlayStation is a sine qua non. It is reported that Sony is going to launch PlayStation Vue, which is a cloud based on demand live TV service, in the US during the first quarter of 2015. The company is planning to make the service available on a commercial basis and will spread the service for all over the world gradually.

Sony has a standard set for products with vivid color, sophistication and stylish look. To extend this analogy, the company is releasing PlayStation Vue On demand Live TV which according to the company’s claim will offer a powerful user interface with sleek design and simplicity. Leaked reports are saying that Sony is going to offer the user a cloud space with unlimited storage capacity and they will be able to save their favourite show, which will be accessible for 28 days after the first coverage. The company has stated that by the end of this month they are going to arrange an event for invited personnel to use PlayStation Vue in PS3 and PS4, but will be commercially available from the first quarter of 2015. This service will be rolled out in a phase basis, starting with New York followed by Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

The company has confirmed about the availability of nearly 75 channels per zonal service range and they already have tied up with channels like CBS, Fox, Discovery Communications, NBCUniversal, Viacom and Scripps Networks Interactive etc. While media reports were speculating about the price per channel, Sony has decided to announce this section later on and said there will be no installation charge, but the service will be available for a change of month-to-month basis.

Though the company has not released their future plans about the global expansion of PlayStation Vue, but they have confirmed about the later availability of this service on iPad.
