Similarly both iPad 2 and android tablets are wireless, portable & accessible to the young and older. Which is a better bet?

Instead of a computer, Both tablet & ipad can do word processing or working on tables but we must admit that it is still a lot less convenient than a computer. Ipad sell in millions all over the word this year as it did not exist before March-April 2010 (launch of the iPad 1). The touch pad looks like a high-tech gifts & most of the tech geeks preferred. One the other hand, the tablets are in general expensive brands. Sales in units of desktop and especially laptop should be higher then it all over the world.

Similarly both iPad 2 and android tablets are wireless, portable & accessible to the young and older. The tablet is a is like a couch computer. This is to surf the Internet, check email, watch videos, read, play and many other things with top android apps. While on the other side you can find many best apps for your ipad for free.

I must say that the Apple iPad 2 is extremely simple and pleasant to use. It is still the most comprehensive with over 140 000 iPad-optimized applications to download (other 400 000 The iPhone also work). The iPad is a e-book to buy and read digital books in different languages. But the iPad has its flaws. It is not compatible with Flash technology which prohibits access to certain websites.

Andriod is like that of a computer, Android has an office such as Windows. And obligation to open separate accounts to download books and films. With version 3.2 Honeycomb, Android offers as many features as the iPad and more compatibility with Flash. There are several sizes of Android tablets, between 17 (7 inches) and 25 cm diagonal (10 inches), while the iPad is only available in 25 cm (10 inches).

Is your iMessage app not working? Don't worry probably it is just a temporary bug. There have been some reports about it not being functional for some users.

Have you updated your iPhone, iPod or iPad to the latest iOS 5? Every year over the past five years Apple have been rolling out their mobile Operating System and added major new features that redefine mobile technology. This year we get the fifth major release of iOS with some of the amazing new features including Reminders, Newsstand, Notification Center and iMessage.

To upgrade any of your iDevices to the latest iOS all you need to do is connect to iTunes and simply click on ‘Update’ (make sure that you’re running the latest version of iTunes). Updating to a major release of the Apple’s mobile operating system have never been frustrating however sometimes the ‘upgrade‘ doesn’t go as smooth as anyone would want it to be. There have been some reports about iMessage being non-functional even after the feature is activated. iMessage is the revamped Message app that allows free text messaging between iDevices.

Try Rebooting or Resetting Your Device

Hold the Home Button and the Lock Button together to reboot your iDevices.

If Rebooting doesn’t work; It has to be reset. Don’t freak out yet because resetting your iPhone’s settings only reset the settings back to its default. Simply go to “Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings” (this option won’t erase device’s content)

After the passing of Steve Jobs, many doubts if Apple company could still survive in the competitive and the ever changing technology industry. Is there more talented people in the company?

Apple Inc. investors, customers and even the fan boys are asking a huge question: Can the company continue making innovative products without its visionary co-founder Steve Jobs? The answer may lie with the ‘Luke Skywalker’ of Apple’s world, the man who designed the iPad and Macbook Air, Jonathan Ive.

The Apple’s lead designer was born in 1967 in London. He studied design at Northumbria University and later worked for a design agency in the United Kingdom. Shortly after, in 1922, Mr. Ive joined Apple (formerly known as Apple Computer Inc.) and instantly became the head of Apple’s industrial design team.

He is the man who is responsible for coming up with the physical look and feel of Apple products that have helped Apple to stand out than the rest of other companies in the consumer electronics industry. His iPad design, the iOS device with aluminum body and a multi-touch capable screen has defined the tablet computer market. The Apple iPad is the market leader of the tablet computer market over-shadowing Galaxy Tab and tablet devices made by company rivals.

Together with amazing marketing team, Jonathan Ive’s inventions have made Apple become the most valuable technology company in the world today. His designs have proven that the PC world is no longer just about Desktop based computers, but portable internet devices that fit in your pocket. The Apple iPhone has become the major income source of the company while the Macs have been the fastest growing product in the personal-computer market, eating up Microsoft Windows PC shares more and more, each and every second.

The role that Jonathan Ive plays at Apple is very important. He works in the background while the other Chief Executives play their role in the public face. According to co-workers he is both brilliant and quite. He has stayed away from the lime light in the design world, and has been known as a person who having won awards but not showing up to collect them.

Jonathan Ive designs Apple products that are constructed to be innovative, aesthetic but yet easy to use. He is very much alive and he’s always up to designing more innovative products for the company. We are expecting a new redesigned Macbooks and yet to be announced iPhone 5.

Is Samsung Copying Apple? See the comparisons between Samsung Galaxy Products and the Apple iPad. Were the lawsuits by Apple really necessary?

Is Samsung Copying Apple? Well Apple has been known as a company that delivers ‘design innovation’ in every product they make ever since they first started with Apple Computer.

As you may know the battle of patent infringements between Apple and Samsung have been going on for more than a while now. Apple has been slammed by critics, mostly because the idea of suing other company over a rectangular tablet device doesn’t seem “right”.

Is Apple suing Samsung just because of a rectangular device with touchscreen interface (Galaxy Tab) resembles the iPad? Well, a lot of people think so but if you have a look at some of the comparisons below you’ll see what the lawsuit really is all about:

We can’t deny that before the iPad was first introduced, the tablet market never really took off. If we were to compare what Apple had with the iPhone in 2007 and what other competitors had, you can see that none of the other competitors devices resembles an iPhone. It is hard to deny that Apple has indeed changed the game in the mobile industry.

I’m not saying that no devices out there should resembles an iPhone or an iPad, but if you have a look at the comparison images, I think what Samsung did is just “too much”. They copied almost every aspect of Apple’s iPad.

What do you guys think about these lawsuits?

What's so great about the new iOS 5? Will this be the best iOS version release by Apple yet? The new iOS5 beta 1 was released for Apple's Developers and I am one of the few lucky people who get to test it first.

I have tested iOS5 for almost a day, and I know it is still too early but I’m just really excited to make a blog post about this new OS from Apple. The new iOS5 beta 1 was released for Apple’s Developers and I am one of the few lucky people who get to test it first. There are some huge changes that has been implemented into iOS5 and some of the features include:

Notification Center

Sync without attaching iDevice to PC (Sync through WiFi)

iCloud

iMessage (send messages across all iDevices)

New built-in Apps (Reminders, Newsstand)

New Camera Features (Pinch to Zoom, Use Volume Button to Snap a Photo)

Mirroring to Apple TV through Air Play

- and a lot more which I don’t think I would have the time to list them all here. -_-

I’ve installed iOS5 on my iPhone 4, I have yet to test it on my iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV. So far, I have not encountered any offending bugs using iOS5 on my iPhone except there is this ‘unusual’ keyboard bug that occurs when I type too fast using the new iMessage (Yes I can type up to 70 WPM on an iPhone)

I love the new notification center, it’s very user-friendly and I think you guys will love it too! It’s probably the most needed feature in iOS and it makes the notification seems a lot more easier to get to especially when you use to have hundreds of notifications.

The new camera functionality doesn’t impress me as much as other features but I have to say that it works twice as good as before. You can now pinch to zoom, use the zoom button to snap a photo and edit it by cropping and enhance the photos directly on your iPhone.

The iCloud doesn’t work fully yet, but one thing that I notice is when you download new app on your PC your iPhone will start installing that app too. I can’t wait until iCloud is fully working.

The new ‘Reminders’ app is very easy to use, but since I don’t need to be reminded for anything (at least at the moment) I don’t really use that app. I’m testing it by creating a new reminder that will remind me to brush my teeth tomorrow morning. Let’s hope that it will work.

WiFi sync doesn’t work yet, I believe this is because the iCloud service is not fully working at the moment. Another feature that I really like to try soon!

Watch the new video by Apple to learn more about the new iOS5

Learn how to stay updated. With new technology and cool gadgets invented every second, how do you keep up or stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest?

With new technology and cool gadgets being invented almost every second, how do you stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest? Here are some tips and idea to get you stay updated:

Latest VS Second Best (Get to Know What is Minor and What is Major)

Do you really need the latest? Is the latest also the greatest? Take a look at the Apple iPad for example; the new iPad 2 just came out but here is the question: How far different is the new iPad 2 from the previous iPad? Well the major changes are the front and rear camera and slightly better hardware specs. However it still does almost the same thing as the first generation iPad. If you’ve just got the first iPad, there is no need to upgrade since you will ended up losing a lot of money. Sometimes it is not worth it to get the latest, because the latest is not necessarily has to be the greatest. Grab the ‘second-best’ you will save a ton of money.

Quintessential VS Cool

Some gadgets like smartphone and notebook are essentials items for your everyday use. You need smartphone to check and send emails or a notebook to write your papers, but do you really need an iPad? iPad is cool, but it is not something that is essential. It could be essential if you do not own a smart phone. If you already got that latest Android phone, tablets (iPad or those Galaxy pads etc.) are in no-way in the quintessential list.

The Reason Why I Prefer Apple

Apple Inc. only updates their product lines once a year, you don’t get to see the new iPhone every month, you’ll only get to see it once a year in June. Google Android based Smart Phones are being made almost every month. Just when you thought you have the latest Android phone you will get outdated on the next month. This is the reason I prefer Apple’s products, once you get the held of an iPad 2 in March, you’ll own the best of the tablet for at least a year.

Buying New Computer? Don’t look at the RAM; look at the Processor

Do you really need to know what is RAM, Processor, Motherboard, and all that crap? No. One thing that is essential to know though; ‘Processor’. Today’s generations processors as of 2011 are Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7. If you’re buying a new laptop, you don’t want those Core2Duo or Centrino (these are old processors). Remember this: Processors don’t get outdated easily; they only make new processors once in a while. FYI, Core2Duo was released back in 2006 (Wow! it’s been ages).

Do the Math (Most of the time; you’ll ended up with the same answer)

My friends are wondering how in the **** could I afford buying a new iPhone every year? Well, the answer is very simple: “eBay”. Yes, I sell my iPhone every year to buy a newer iPhone in June. Does this mean I am wasting money every year? Not necessarily, if you do the math, most smartphones would cost $299, lets say $499 without contract. You buy a brand new smartphone in August 2010 at the cost of $499, by August 2011 your used smartphone would worth at least half of its original price tag, ‘$250′. Should you wait for another year? You can, but I gotta tell ya, the price tag of that phone won’t stay $250 forever. Before you even know it; most of the electronics you’ve bought ended up being in the basement. Technically saying, you need $299 or less (to update your phone every year). If you wait too long you’ll get outdated and might ended up having to pay the full price of a newer phone instead of benefiting some money from selling your previous phone.

You may want to rethink about getting an iPad this Holiday season especially when Apple is coming up with the next generation of iPad.

Apple iPad can be a great Christmas gift for family and friends, in fact it has been quite a trending gift lately this Holiday season. However, you should be smart about buying an Apple product.

Apple updates their products every year, and it is very likely that we’re going to see Apple unveiling the next generation of iPad, (rumored as: iPad II) as early as January 2011.

The new iPad II is rumored to include front and rear camera which will support Facetime calls. It will be slightly thinner than the first generation iPad and comes with USB ports compatible for digital photos transfers.

The upcoming iPad should not have the same principals of iPod Touch. When iPad was first introduced, people (even the Apple fans) saw it as just another iPod touch with a bigger screen (iPod touch on steroid). I’m guessing that it will have certain killer features that both iPhone 4 and iPod Touch don’t possess. Something like processor beyond what we have on any other iDevices (probably a dual core processor).

iPad 2 needs to be more powerful than iPhone 4 or else there is no reason for an iPad 2. Forget about Facetime, you can do that on the iPod touch, what it needs is something that is extraordinary; certain features that won’t be introduced on any other iDevices.

For now I don’t see the real reason to buy an iPad. I would always bring a Macbook whenever I go to the coffee house. Even if I need something ‘mobile’, I’ll always have an iPhone in my pocket. It will be very interesting what Apple might come up with the next generation of their most notable Tablet PC.

Is Adobe Flash really that bad? Apple has some good reasons on why they did not want to include Flash, and Adobe dismissed all the Apple’s statements and made some good points as well.

As you all might have heard, there has been a war between Adobe and Apple on Flash Availability on the Apple revolutionary mobile devices (iPhone, iPod and iPad).

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, few weeks ago had posted an open letter in the Apple’s Blog (you can read it here) explaining the reasons why Apple has decided not to include Flash Technology on their mobile devices. The article, as you know, was written by Steve Jobs himself and could convince anyone who read it and change your perspectives on Flash. He pointed out that Flash is a technology that doesn’t seem to deliver well in terms of reliability and security, and it is irrelevant in the new era of touch screen devices like the iPhone and iPad.

Shantanu Narayen (Adobe CEO) dismissed Steve Jobs’ points and accuses Apple being “a smokescreen” that distracts the observers from the business motive which is the real reason why Apple did not include Flash on their mobile platforms. Just about yesterday, Adobe made an Ad Campaign targeted at Apple for their anti-Adobe stance (you can view the ad campaign at Adobe.com).

Both parties seem to have some clear reasons on the situation. Apple has some good reasons on why they did not want to include Flash, and Adobe dismissed all the Apple’s statements and made some good points as well.

Is Flash Really That Bad?

To be completely honest about it; flash is an amazing technology however I could agree that it is the major reason why my Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer browser crashes most of the times.

On the other hand, HTML 5 might be great for video viewing however I don’t think it is going to replace Flash technology in terms of web interactivity or the Flash powered interface. In another words “Flash is still Cool”. I’m working on my official web profile and guess what? It runs Flash, but don’t worry because there is an alternative view feature for (lack of Flash) devices.

My official WEB Profile runs Flash

Are top websites really going to switch from Flash to HTML 5?

Youtube is doing it, it is still in the experimental form but you can try it here. Hulu, the second largest video service in the United States, is not switching to HTML 5. This is not a good news for Hulu fans out there waiting for it to be available on the iPad. It would be great if you could watch Hulu on the iPad, but you won’t be able to do that not at least until Apple approves Flash Technology.

Should Adobe give up on Flash and start working on HTML 5 authoring software?

Even if they should, I don’t think they would. Flash is such a revolutionary technology and over the past few years it has made the web more interactive and look better except for some reasons it crashes the Internet Explorer quite frequently.

Is Apple cruel for ditching Flash to iPhone Decompiler?

I’m against the Flash to iPhone decompiler feature where Flash application can be exported into an iPhone App. Trust me, this is really bad and if Apple approved this, today we will see rapid increase in the numbers of iPhone Apps and most of them will be “junk apps”. We want unique and cool apps on the iPhone and we don’t need some random Flash application that was developed 10 years ago turned into an app and make it into the App Store.

Which Team are you on? Team Apple or Team Adobe?

You can download unlimited eBooks for free from web based iPad download websites. There is no monthly membership fee according to the website which makes this a great deal! You could really save tons of money if you’re really into reading eBooks on the iPad.

Over the past few years’ eBooks have been nothing more but clutter PDF files in our hard drive that can only be opened with Adobe Reader application. They are very similar to word documents but just ‘slightly better’ – then came the iPad, a tablet form computing device that was announced by Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) earlier this year. One of the most revolutionary features of the iPad is the iBook Store which has redefined the eBooks we have seen on our PCs. It is a million times more interactive than those plain PDF eBooks but what about the pricing?

eBooks Experience on the iPad

iBooks can be purchased from the dedicated Apple bookstore starting as low as USD $12.99 which is not bad at all. Personally, I think the pricing is a little too expensive as iBooks being intangible products – Apple could have definitely priced them at cheaper rates.

Yesterday, I came across a website that allows you to download unlimited iBooks. The website is called myPadmedia; a web based iPad downloading services. All there is to pay for is a membership fee and you can begin downloading unlimited books and read them on the iPad. There is no monthly membership fee according to the website which makes this a great deal! You could really save tons of money if you’re really into reading eBooks on the iPad.

There is not much that I could tell you, I haven’t tried it yet because I don’t have an iPad. I will be getting one soon at the end of the month. I can’t comment on iPad reading experience, however by reading iPad reviews from various blogs, iPad performs better than any other eBook readers available in the market.

For those of you who have tried this web services or any other similar web services that allows unlimited eBooks downloading; feel free to share your experience with us, write some feedbacks in the comment section below.

If you were hoping to get the WIFI version of the iPad and tether it to the iPhone; you can kiss your plan goodbye. You can't tether an iPad to the iPhone according to a message sent by Steve Jobs

The Apple Latest creation: iPad is coming this April 3rd according to their latest ad as seen at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. The ad is all over YouTube now; Steve Jobs himself was there at the Academy Awards.

Of course it wouldn’t be fair to rate the device now; we wouldn’t know it until we get our hands on it. I have no plan to get one, but we’ll see about that… Maybe I’d better off with the 3G version; which worth mentioning the WIFI version of the iPad will be released first before the 3G version. Why? I have no idea…

Anyway, if you were hoping to get the WIFI version of the iPad and tether it to the iPhone; you can kiss your plan goodbye.

An Apple fan from Sweden sent an email to Apple about iPhone – iPad internet tethering.

This is the message that was sent:

I’ll keep it short.

I’m Jezper from Sweden, a long time Apple fan, currently about to replace the very last computer at home with a brand spanking new iMac i7. I’m also awaiting the release of the iPad. However, I have one question:

Will the wifi-only version somehow support tethering thru my iPhone?

Two devices, based on the same OS, with already built-in technology to share one data plan suggests a secondary contract could possibly be redundant.

From the look of your keynote, where the iPad sits well between my MacBook Pro and my iPhone, I was hoping the three of them could interact as seamless as possible.

All the best,
Jezper Söderlund[a famous DJ in his own right]

The email was replied by no other than Steve Jobs himself. Mr. Jobs managed to keep it simple; he got an even shorter reply from Steve Jobs:

No.

Well, this is another disappointing fact about the upcoming iPad indeed. It looks like you won’t be able to use iPhone’s 3G network on your iPad via Tethering. It works on netbooks, laptops and all other Microsoft junks but not the glorious iPad.
