Couple of years ago, an infamous hacker named ‘Hotz’ hacked the Apple iPhone. He has apparently done it again with Sony ‘used-to-be-uncrackable’ gaming console the PlayStation 3. This hack allows you to play pirated games on your PS3 console without actually having the Blu-ray Disc (BD) game inside the console. The game will run 100% from the hard drive.

This concept works like a jailbroken iPhone, all you have to do is download a pirated game from an irresponsible website, install it on your PS3 hard disk and load it up!

Now, here’s some good news and bad news. There will be some rapid increase in PS3 sales once the retailers begin selling hacked consoles, but that would also mean declining sales of PS3 original games. This is bad for game developers; they deserve so much more for their hard work. Remember: making games are not easy! “Piracy is a crime”

What I do like however; is all these customizations you can do with hacked PlayStation 3. Just like the iPhone, a jailbroken-iPhone could do so much more than the locked-down iPhones. According to Hotz (the hacker) he / (I doubt if she) has managed to customize PS3 theme.

This is of course nothing yet; but this could mean that there will be so much more features which can be implemented on the PlayStation console once it has been hacked.

Remember the first generation iPhone? Well, it had no games nor apps. Once it’s been jailbroken, there were tons of customizations, games and apps were developed.

Transform Your PS3 into a Home PC

If you are thinking of making your Sony PlayStation 3 just a little more intelligent and even more useful then it is a great idea to add a Linux Operating System which will enable you to take advantage of your Sony PlayStation 3’s ability to be more like a computer than a games machine and because Linux comes with so many features you will be able to surf the web, write letters and do so much more.

PS3Magic is a piece of software where it offer to “transform your PS3 into a powerful PC!” And they do that by offering you Linux for $37.00 payable by any credit card, or Paypal.

PS3 magic is a great website to get all of the information and help that you will need to install Linux on your Sony PlayStation 3 if you are not a geek or very ‘techie.’ First of all don’t worry there are loads of us out there who welcome the help that websites like PS3Magic can offer and if you need it you can use the PS3Magic software to install a copy of Linux, which of course is usually free.

Apparently over 143,532 people have installed Linux and use it on their Sony PlayStation 3, although the website doesn’t seem to say if they all did that using PS3Magic or not.

The website itself is very comprehensive and covers everything that you need to know about running and using Linux on the Sony PlayStation 3 and if you have tried to run any of the Linux Operating Systems or OS’s that will work with the Sony PlayStation 3 such as Ubuntu

9.10, OpenSUSE 10.3, Yellow Dog Linux 5.0, Fedora 10 and you have failed then what the good people at PS3Magic offer which is a product called PS3Magic is for you and that is because it will install the most popular Linux system for the Sony PlayStation 3.

So PS3Magic is basically an installer that costs more than the software, but and it is a big ‘but’ if you can install Linux without help then this product is definitely for you and you can download it immediately from the website.

Whether it is easier to use is hard to tell the best way to do that is to see if anyone you know uses PS3Magic or use Google to search out what others think before spending $37.00 of your hard earned.

There are at the bottom of the website a lot of reviews from people from a lot of different parts of the world who have chosen PS3Magic as their way of installing a Linux operating system on their Sony PlayStations and every single one is complimentary.

So our thoughts on the PS3Magic website is that if you are finding it difficult to install Linux on your Sony PlayStation 3 and you have given up looking for help then the PS3Magic website page is a very good place to come to order your copy of PS3Magic and then you will be able to use Linux on your Sony PlayStation 3 to do hundreds of things assuming you have a keyboard and a mouse of course.

Check Out PS3Magic by clicking here or go to PS3Magic.org to learn more…
